Adds the specified tags to the specified load balancer. Each load balancer can have a maximum of 10 tags.

Each tag consists of a key and an optional value. If a tag with the same key is already associated with the load balancer, AddTags updates its value.

Note:

For .NET Core this operation is only available in asynchronous form. Please refer to AddTagsAsync.

Parameters

request
Type: Amazon.ElasticLoadBalancing.Model.AddTagsRequest

Container for the necessary parameters to execute the AddTags service method.

Return Value


The response from the AddTags service method, as returned by ElasticLoadBalancing.

Exceptions

ExceptionCondition
AccessPointNotFoundException The specified load balancer does not exist.
DuplicateTagKeysException A tag key was specified more than once.
TooManyTagsException The quota for the number of tags that can be assigned to a load balancer has been reached.

This example adds two tags to the specified load balancer.

To add tags to a load balancer
