Starts a crawl using the specified crawler, regardless of what is scheduled. If the crawler is already running, returns a CrawlerRunningException.

Note:

This is an asynchronous operation using the standard naming convention for .NET 4.5 or higher. For .NET 3.5 the operation is implemented as a pair of methods using the standard naming convention of BeginStartCrawler and EndStartCrawler.

Parameters

request
Type: Amazon.Glue.Model.StartCrawlerRequest

Container for the necessary parameters to execute the StartCrawler service method.

cancellationToken
Type: System.Threading.CancellationToken

A cancellation token that can be used by other objects or threads to receive notice of cancellation.

Return Value


The response from the StartCrawler service method, as returned by Glue.

Exceptions

ExceptionCondition
CrawlerRunningException The operation cannot be performed because the crawler is already running.
EntityNotFoundException A specified entity does not exist
OperationTimeoutException The operation timed out.
