Sets the specified version of the specified policy as the policy's default (operative) version. This action affects all certificates to which the policy is attached. To list the principals the policy is attached to, use the ListPrincipalPolicies action.

Requires permission to access the SetDefaultPolicyVersion action.

Note:

This is an asynchronous operation using the standard naming convention for .NET 4.5 or higher. For .NET 3.5 the operation is implemented as a pair of methods using the standard naming convention of BeginSetDefaultPolicyVersion and EndSetDefaultPolicyVersion.

Parameters

policyName
Type: System.String

The policy name.

policyVersionId
Type: System.String

The policy version ID.

cancellationToken
Type: System.Threading.CancellationToken

A cancellation token that can be used by other objects or threads to receive notice of cancellation.

Return Value


The response from the SetDefaultPolicyVersion service method, as returned by IoT.

Exceptions

InternalFailureException An unexpected error has occurred.
InvalidRequestException The request is not valid.
ResourceNotFoundException The specified resource does not exist.
ServiceUnavailableException The service is temporarily unavailable.
ThrottlingException The rate exceeds the limit.
