Associates a Device Defender security profile with a thing group or this account. Each thing group or account can have up to five security profiles associated with it.

Requires permission to access the AttachSecurityProfile action.

Note:

This is an asynchronous operation using the standard naming convention for .NET 4.5 or higher. For .NET 3.5 the operation is implemented as a pair of methods using the standard naming convention of BeginAttachSecurityProfile and EndAttachSecurityProfile.

Parameters

request
Type: Amazon.IoT.Model.AttachSecurityProfileRequest

Container for the necessary parameters to execute the AttachSecurityProfile service method.

cancellationToken
Type: System.Threading.CancellationToken

A cancellation token that can be used by other objects or threads to receive notice of cancellation.

Return Value


The response from the AttachSecurityProfile service method, as returned by IoT.

Exceptions

ExceptionCondition
InternalFailureException An unexpected error has occurred.
InvalidRequestException The request is not valid.
LimitExceededException A limit has been exceeded.
ResourceNotFoundException The specified resource does not exist.
ThrottlingException The rate exceeds the limit.
VersionConflictException An exception thrown when the version of an entity specified with the expectedVersion parameter does not match the latest version in the system.
