Updates the status of the specified certificate. This operation is idempotent.
Moving a certificate from the ACTIVE state (including REVOKED) will not disconnect currently connected devices, but these devices will be unable to reconnect.
The ACTIVE state is required to authenticate devices connecting to AWS IoT using a certificate.
This is an asynchronous operation using the standard naming convention for .NET 4.5 or higher. For .NET 3.5 the operation is implemented as a pair of methods using the standard naming convention of BeginUpdateCertificate and EndUpdateCertificate.
public virtual Task<UpdateCertificateResponse> UpdateCertificateAsync( String certificateId, CertificateStatus newStatus, CancellationToken cancellationToken )
The ID of the certificate.
The new status. Note: Setting the status to PENDING_TRANSFER will result in an exception being thrown. PENDING_TRANSFER is a status used internally by AWS IoT. It is not intended for developer use. Note: The status value REGISTER_INACTIVE is deprecated and should not be used.
A cancellation token that can be used by other objects or threads to receive notice of cancellation.
|CertificateStateException||The certificate operation is not allowed.|
|InternalFailureException||An unexpected error has occurred.|
|InvalidRequestException||The request is not valid.|
|ResourceNotFoundException||The specified resource does not exist.|
|ServiceUnavailableException||The service is temporarily unavailable.|
|ThrottlingException||The rate exceeds the limit.|
|UnauthorizedException||You are not authorized to perform this operation.|
