Returns session information for a specified bot, alias, and user.

For example, you can use this operation to retrieve session information for a user that has left a long-running session in use.

If the bot, alias, or session identifier doesn't exist, Amazon Lex V2 returns a BadRequestException. If the locale doesn't exist or is not enabled for the alias, you receive a BadRequestException.

Note:

This is an asynchronous operation using the standard naming convention for .NET 4.5 or higher. For .NET 3.5 the operation is implemented as a pair of methods using the standard naming convention of BeginGetSession and EndGetSession.

Parameters

request
Type: Amazon.LexRuntimeV2.Model.GetSessionRequest

Container for the necessary parameters to execute the GetSession service method.

cancellationToken
Type: System.Threading.CancellationToken

A cancellation token that can be used by other objects or threads to receive notice of cancellation.

Return Value


The response from the GetSession service method, as returned by LexRuntimeV2.
