Creates a storage container to hold objects. A container is similar to a bucket in the Amazon S3 service.

Note:

This is an asynchronous operation using the standard naming convention for .NET 4.5 or higher. For .NET 3.5 the operation is implemented as a pair of methods using the standard naming convention of BeginCreateContainer and EndCreateContainer.

Parameters

request
Type: Amazon.MediaStore.Model.CreateContainerRequest

Container for the necessary parameters to execute the CreateContainer service method.

cancellationToken
Type: System.Threading.CancellationToken

A cancellation token that can be used by other objects or threads to receive notice of cancellation.

Return Value


The response from the CreateContainer service method, as returned by MediaStore.

Exceptions

ExceptionCondition
ContainerInUseException The container that you specified in the request already exists or is being updated.
InternalServerErrorException The service is temporarily unavailable.
LimitExceededException A service limit has been exceeded.
