Creates a new Amazon Redshift security group. You use security groups to control access to non-VPC clusters.

For information about managing security groups, go to Amazon Redshift Cluster Security Groups in the Amazon Redshift Cluster Management Guide.

Note:

This is an asynchronous operation using the standard naming convention for .NET 4.5 or higher. For .NET 3.5 the operation is implemented as a pair of methods using the standard naming convention of BeginCreateClusterSecurityGroup and EndCreateClusterSecurityGroup.

Parameters

request
Type: Amazon.Redshift.Model.CreateClusterSecurityGroupRequest

Container for the necessary parameters to execute the CreateClusterSecurityGroup service method.

cancellationToken
Type: System.Threading.CancellationToken

A cancellation token that can be used by other objects or threads to receive notice of cancellation.

Return Value


The response from the CreateClusterSecurityGroup service method, as returned by Redshift.

Exceptions

ExceptionCondition
ClusterSecurityGroupAlreadyExistsException A cluster security group with the same name already exists.
ClusterSecurityGroupQuotaExceededException The request would result in the user exceeding the allowed number of cluster security groups. For information about increasing your quota, go to Limits in Amazon Redshift in the Amazon Redshift Cluster Management Guide.
InvalidTagException The tag is invalid.
TagLimitExceededException You have exceeded the number of tags allowed.
