Deletes a specified Amazon Redshift parameter group.

You cannot delete a parameter group if it is associated with a cluster.

Note:

This is an asynchronous operation using the standard naming convention for .NET 4.5 or higher. For .NET 3.5 the operation is implemented as a pair of methods using the standard naming convention of BeginDeleteClusterParameterGroup and EndDeleteClusterParameterGroup.

Parameters

request
Type: Amazon.Redshift.Model.DeleteClusterParameterGroupRequest

Container for the necessary parameters to execute the DeleteClusterParameterGroup service method.

cancellationToken
Type: System.Threading.CancellationToken

A cancellation token that can be used by other objects or threads to receive notice of cancellation.

Return Value


The response from the DeleteClusterParameterGroup service method, as returned by Redshift.

Exceptions

ExceptionCondition
ClusterParameterGroupNotFoundException The parameter group name does not refer to an existing parameter group.
InvalidClusterParameterGroupStateException The cluster parameter group action can not be completed because another task is in progress that involves the parameter group. Wait a few moments and try the operation again.
