Adds or updates a sending authorization policy for the specified identity (an email address or a domain).

This operation is for the identity owner only. If you have not verified the identity, it returns an error.

Sending authorization is a feature that enables an identity owner to authorize other senders to use its identities. For information about using sending authorization, see the Amazon SES Developer Guide.

You can execute this operation no more than once per second.

Note:

This is an asynchronous operation using the standard naming convention for .NET 4.5 or higher. For .NET 3.5 the operation is implemented as a pair of methods using the standard naming convention of BeginPutIdentityPolicy and EndPutIdentityPolicy.

Parameters

request
Type: Amazon.SimpleEmail.Model.PutIdentityPolicyRequest

Container for the necessary parameters to execute the PutIdentityPolicy service method.

cancellationToken
Type: System.Threading.CancellationToken

A cancellation token that can be used by other objects or threads to receive notice of cancellation.

Return Value


The response from the PutIdentityPolicy service method, as returned by SimpleEmailService.

Exceptions

ExceptionCondition
InvalidPolicyException Indicates that the provided policy is invalid. Check the error stack for more information about what caused the error.
