Generates and sends a bounce message to the sender of an email you received through Amazon SES. You can only use this operation on an email up to 24 hours after you receive it.

You cannot use this operation to send generic bounces for mail that was not received by Amazon SES.

You can execute this operation no more than once per second.

Note:

This is an asynchronous operation using the standard naming convention for .NET 4.5 or higher. For .NET 3.5 the operation is implemented as a pair of methods using the standard naming convention of BeginSendBounce and EndSendBounce.

Parameters

request
Type: Amazon.SimpleEmail.Model.SendBounceRequest

Container for the necessary parameters to execute the SendBounce service method.

cancellationToken
Type: System.Threading.CancellationToken

A cancellation token that can be used by other objects or threads to receive notice of cancellation.

Return Value


The response from the SendBounce service method, as returned by SimpleEmailService.

Exceptions

ExceptionCondition
MessageRejectedException Indicates that the action failed, and the message could not be sent. Check the error stack for more information about what caused the error.
