Collection of operational metrics - Machine Downtime Monitor on AWS

Collection of operational metrics

This solution includes an option to send anonymous operational metrics to AWS. We use this data to better understand how customers use this solution and related services and products. When invoked, the following information is collected and sent to AWS:

  • Solution ID: The AWS solution identifier

  • Unique ID (UUID): Randomly generated, unique identifier for each Machine Downtime Monitor on AWS deployment

  • Timestamp: Data-collection timestamp

  • Solution Lifecycle: Create/Update/Delete and whether the option to deploy Machine to Cloud was chosen

  • Machine Detail Page Loaded: Sent when the machine detail page is initially loaded (a machine has been clicked in the overview page)

  • Configuration Updated: When a machine or UI reference configuration is updated

  • Machine Data Parser Initialized: Used when the Filter Kinesis Stream Lambda function is initialized. Collects the number of message format and machine configurations that have been set up

  • UI Reference Data Loaded: Used when the Filter Kinesis Stream Lambda function is initialized. Collects the number of machines that have sent data through the Kinesis Data Stream

AWS owns the data gathered though this survey. Data collection is subject to the AWS Privacy Policy. To opt out of this feature, modify the AWS CloudFormation template mapping section from:
