To create a placement group

This example command creates a placement group with the specified name.

Command:

<userinput>aws ec2 create-placement-group --group-name <replaceable>my-cluster</replaceable> --strategy <replaceable>cluster</replaceable></userinput>

To create a partition placement group

This example command creates a partition placement group named HDFS-Group-A with five partitions.

Command:

<userinput>aws ec2 create-placement-group --group-name <replaceable>HDFS-Group-A</replaceable> --strategy <replaceable>partition</replaceable> --partition-count <replaceable>5</replaceable></userinput>
