Welcome - Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud

Welcome

Important

Beginning on October 14, 2022, HTTP responses from the Amazon EC2 APIs will no longer include a reason-phrase element. As recommended by RFC7230, you should ensure that your applications do not make use of the reason-phrase content. Ensure that your applications use the 3-digit status-code element included in the HTTP response instead.

This is the Amazon EC2 API Reference. It provides descriptions, syntax, and usage examples for each of the actions and data types for the following services:

  • Amazon EC2

  • Amazon EBS

  • Amazon VPC

  • AWS VPN

  • AWS Wavelength

The documentation for each action shows the Query API request parameters and the XML response.

Alternatively, you can use one of the AWS SDKs to access an API that's tailored to the programming language or platform that you're using. For more information, see AWS SDKs.
