Engine versions and upgrading in ElastiCache
This section covers the supported Valkey, Memcached, and Redis OSS engines and how to upgrade. Note that all features available with Redis OSS 7.2 are available in Valkey 7.2 and above by default. You can also upgrade from some existing ElastiCache for Redis OSS engines to a Valkey engine.
