Step 7: View collected data - AWS Application Discovery Service

Step 7: View collected data

You can view the data that your Application Discovery Service Agentless Collector (Agentless Collector) collected in the Migration Hub console. You can view the collected metrics for database and analytics servers in the AWS DMS console.

To view the data discovered by the VMware vCenter Agentless Collector data collection module
  1. Sign in to the AWS Management Console and open the Migration Hub console at https://console.aws.amazon.com/migrationhub/. For this task, we recommend that you use a different IAM user account from the IAM user that you created to setup and access Agentless Collector.

  2. In the Migration Hub console navigation pane, under Discover, choose Servers.

  3. To view details about a server, choose the hostname of the server from the Server info column. The server's detail page displays information about the server, such as hostname, IP address, performance metrics, and so on.

To view the data discovered by the database and analytics data collection module
  1. Sign in to the AWS Management Console and open the AWS DMS console at https://console.aws.amazon.com/dms/v2/.

  2. Choose Inventory under Discover. The Inventory page opens.

  3. Choose Analyze inventories to determine database schema properties, such as similarity and complexity.

  4. Choose the Schemas tab to see the results of analysis.

You can use the AWS DMS console to identify duplicate schemas, determine the migration complexity, and export the inventory information for the future analysis. For more information, see Using inventories for analysis in AWS DMS Fleet Advisor.
