Synopsis

Calls the Amazon GameLift Service DescribeFleetAttributes API operation.

Description

This operation has been expanded to use with the Amazon GameLift containers feature, which is currently in public preview. Retrieves core fleet-wide properties for fleets in an Amazon Web Services Region. Properties include the computing hardware and deployment configuration for instances in the fleet. You can use this operation in the following ways:
  • To get attributes for specific fleets, provide a list of fleet IDs or fleet ARNs.
  • To get attributes for all fleets, do not provide a fleet identifier.
When requesting attributes for multiple fleets, use the pagination parameters to retrieve results as a set of sequential pages. If successful, a FleetAttributes object is returned for each fleet requested, unless the fleet identifier is not found. Some API operations limit the number of fleet IDs that allowed in one request. This cmdlet automatically pages all available results to the pipeline - parameters related to iteration are only needed if you want to manually control the paginated output. To disable autopagination, use -NoAutoIteration.

A list of unique fleet identifiers to retrieve attributes for. You can use either the fleet ID or ARN value. To retrieve attributes for all current fleets, do not include this parameter.

-Limit <Int32>
The maximum number of results to return. Use this parameter with NextToken to get results as a set of sequential pages. This parameter is ignored when the request specifies one or a list of fleet IDs.
Note: In AWSPowerShell and AWSPowerShell.NetCore this parameter is used to limit the total number of items returned by the cmdlet.
In AWS.Tools this parameter is simply passed to the service to specify how many items should be returned by each service call.
Pipe the output of this cmdlet into Select-Object -First to terminate retrieving data pages early and control the number of items returned.

-NextToken <String>
A token that indicates the start of the next sequential page of results. Use the token that is returned with a previous call to this operation. To start at the beginning of the result set, do not specify a value. This parameter is ignored when the request specifies one or a list of fleet IDs.
Note: This parameter is only used if you are manually controlling output pagination of the service API call.
In order to manually control output pagination, use '-NextToken $null' for the first call and '-NextToken $AWSHistory.LastServiceResponse.NextToken' for subsequent calls.

By default the cmdlet will auto-iterate and retrieve all results to the pipeline by performing multiple service calls. If set, the cmdlet will retrieve only the next 'page' of results using the value of NextToken as the start point.

-PassThru <SwitchParameter>
Changes the cmdlet behavior to return the value passed to the FleetId parameter. The -PassThru parameter is deprecated, use -Select '^FleetId' instead. This parameter will be removed in a future version.

Use the -Select parameter to control the cmdlet output. The default value is 'FleetAttributes'. Specifying -Select '*' will result in the cmdlet returning the whole service response (Amazon.GameLift.Model.DescribeFleetAttributesResponse). Specifying the name of a property of type Amazon.GameLift.Model.DescribeFleetAttributesResponse will result in that property being returned. Specifying -Select '^ParameterName' will result in the cmdlet returning the selected cmdlet parameter value.

Used with SAML-based authentication when ProfileName references a SAML role profile. Contains the network credentials to be supplied during authentication with the configured identity provider's endpoint. This parameter is not required if the user's default network identity can or should be used during authentication.

This cmdlet returns a collection of Amazon.GameLift.Model.FleetAttributes objects. The service call response (type Amazon.GameLift.Model.DescribeFleetAttributesResponse) can also be referenced from properties attached to the cmdlet entry in the $AWSHistory stack.
