  • Inline, using the data property in the request body.
  • A URL that points to a YAML document file stored in Amazon S3, using the uri property in the request body.

Parameters

-ChangeDescription <String>
The change description of the component. Describes what change has been made in this version, or what makes this version different from other versions of the component.
Required?False
Position?Named
Accept pipeline input?True (ByPropertyName)
-ClientConfig <AmazonImagebuilderConfig>
Amazon.PowerShell.Cmdlets.EC2IB.AmazonImagebuilderClientCmdlet.ClientConfig
Required?False
Position?Named
Accept pipeline input?True (ByPropertyName)
-ClientToken <String>
Unique, case-sensitive identifier you provide to ensure idempotency of the request. For more information, see Ensuring idempotency in the Amazon EC2 API Reference.
Required?False
Position?Named
Accept pipeline input?True (ByPropertyName)
-Data <String>
Component data contains inline YAML document content for the component. Alternatively, you can specify the uri of a YAML document file stored in Amazon S3. However, you cannot specify both properties.
Required?False
Position?Named
Accept pipeline input?True (ByPropertyName)
-Description <String>
Describes the contents of the component.
Required?False
Position?Named
Accept pipeline input?True (ByPropertyName)
This parameter overrides confirmation prompts to force the cmdlet to continue its operation. This parameter should always be used with caution.
Required?False
Position?Named
Accept pipeline input?True (ByPropertyName)
-KmsKeyId <String>
The ID of the KMS key that is used to encrypt this component.
Required?False
Position?Named
Accept pipeline input?True (ByPropertyName)
-Name <String>
The name of the component.
Required?True
Position?1
Accept pipeline input?True (ByValue, ByPropertyName)
-PassThru <SwitchParameter>
Changes the cmdlet behavior to return the value passed to the Name parameter. The -PassThru parameter is deprecated, use -Select '^Name' instead. This parameter will be removed in a future version.
Required?False
Position?Named
Accept pipeline input?True (ByPropertyName)
-Platform <Platform>
The operating system platform of the component.
Required?True
Position?Named
Accept pipeline input?True (ByPropertyName)
-Select <String>
Use the -Select parameter to control the cmdlet output. The default value is 'ComponentBuildVersionArn'. Specifying -Select '*' will result in the cmdlet returning the whole service response (Amazon.Imagebuilder.Model.CreateComponentResponse). Specifying the name of a property of type Amazon.Imagebuilder.Model.CreateComponentResponse will result in that property being returned. Specifying -Select '^ParameterName' will result in the cmdlet returning the selected cmdlet parameter value.
Required?False
Position?Named
Accept pipeline input?True (ByPropertyName)
-SemanticVersion <String>
The semantic version of the component. This version follows the semantic version syntax. The semantic version has four nodes: <major>.<minor>.<patch>/<build>. You can assign values for the first three, and can filter on all of them.Assignment: For the first three nodes you can assign any positive integer value, including zero, with an upper limit of 2^30-1, or 1073741823 for each node. Image Builder automatically assigns the build number to the fourth node.Patterns: You can use any numeric pattern that adheres to the assignment requirements for the nodes that you can assign. For example, you might choose a software version pattern, such as 1.0.0, or a date, such as 2021.01.01.
Required?True
Position?Named
Accept pipeline input?True (ByPropertyName)
-SupportedOsVersion <String[]>
The operating system (OS) version supported by the component. If the OS information is available, a prefix match is performed against the base image OS version during image recipe creation.
Required?False
Position?Named
Accept pipeline input?True (ByPropertyName)
AliasesSupportedOsVersions
-Tag <Hashtable>
The tags that apply to the component.
Required?False
Position?Named
Accept pipeline input?True (ByPropertyName)
AliasesTags
-Uri <String>
The uri of a YAML component document file. This must be an S3 URL (s3://bucket/key), and the requester must have permission to access the S3 bucket it points to. If you use Amazon S3, you can specify component content up to your service quota.Alternatively, you can specify the YAML document inline, using the component data property. You cannot specify both properties.
Required?False
Position?Named
Accept pipeline input?True (ByPropertyName)

Common Credential and Region Parameters

-AccessKey <String>
The AWS access key for the user account. This can be a temporary access key if the corresponding session token is supplied to the -SessionToken parameter.
Required?False
Position?Named
Accept pipeline input?True (ByPropertyName)
AliasesAK
-Credential <AWSCredentials>
An AWSCredentials object instance containing access and secret key information, and optionally a token for session-based credentials.
Required?False
Position?Named
Accept pipeline input?True (ByValue, ByPropertyName)
-EndpointUrl <String>
The endpoint to make the call against.Note: This parameter is primarily for internal AWS use and is not required/should not be specified for normal usage. The cmdlets normally determine which endpoint to call based on the region specified to the -Region parameter or set as default in the shell (via Set-DefaultAWSRegion). Only specify this parameter if you must direct the call to a specific custom endpoint.
Required?False
Position?Named
Accept pipeline input?True (ByPropertyName)
-NetworkCredential <PSCredential>
Used with SAML-based authentication when ProfileName references a SAML role profile. Contains the network credentials to be supplied during authentication with the configured identity provider's endpoint. This parameter is not required if the user's default network identity can or should be used during authentication.
Required?False
Position?Named
Accept pipeline input?True (ByValue, ByPropertyName)
-ProfileLocation <String>
Used to specify the name and location of the ini-format credential file (shared with the AWS CLI and other AWS SDKs)If this optional parameter is omitted this cmdlet will search the encrypted credential file used by the AWS SDK for .NET and AWS Toolkit for Visual Studio first. If the profile is not found then the cmdlet will search in the ini-format credential file at the default location: (user's home directory)\.aws\credentials.If this parameter is specified then this cmdlet will only search the ini-format credential file at the location given. As the current folder can vary in a shell or during script execution it is advised that you use specify a fully qualified path instead of a relative path.
Required?False
Position?Named
Accept pipeline input?True (ByPropertyName)
AliasesAWSProfilesLocation, ProfilesLocation
-ProfileName <String>
The user-defined name of an AWS credentials or SAML-based role profile containing credential information. -SessionToken <String>
The session token if the access and secret keys are temporary session-based credentials.
Required?False

Outputs

This cmdlet returns a System.String object. The service call response (type Amazon.Imagebuilder.Model.CreateComponentResponse) can also be referenced from properties attached to the cmdlet entry in the $AWSHistory stack.
