Calls the AWS Lambda CreateAlias API operation.

Description

Creates an alias for a Lambda function version. Use aliases to provide clients with a function identifier that you can update to invoke a different version. You can also map an alias to split invocation requests between two versions. Use the RoutingConfig parameter to specify a second version and the percentage of invocation requests that it receives.

The name or ARN of the Lambda function.Name formats
  • Function name - MyFunction.
  • Function ARN - arn:aws:lambda:us-west-2:123456789012:function:MyFunction.
  • Partial ARN - 123456789012:function:MyFunction.
The length constraint applies only to the full ARN. If you specify only the function name, it is limited to 64 characters in length.

-RoutingConfig_AdditionalVersionWeight <Hashtable>
The second version, and the percentage of traffic that's routed to it. Starting with version 4 of the SDK this property will default to null. If no data for this property is returned from the service the property will also be null. This was changed to improve performance and allow the SDK and caller to distinguish between a property not set or a property being empty to clear out a value. To retain the previous SDK behavior set the AWSConfigs.InitializeCollections static property to true.

Use the -Select parameter to control the cmdlet output. The default value is '*'. Specifying -Select '*' will result in the cmdlet returning the whole service response (Amazon.Lambda.Model.CreateAliasResponse). Specifying the name of a property of type Amazon.Lambda.Model.CreateAliasResponse will result in that property being returned. Specifying -Select '^ParameterName' will result in the cmdlet returning the selected cmdlet parameter value.

Example 1
