Synopsis

Calls the Amazon Comprehend DeleteEntityRecognizer API operation.

Description

Deletes an entity recognizer. Only those recognizers that are in terminated states (IN_ERROR, TRAINED) will be deleted. If an active inference job is using the model, a ResourceInUseException will be returned. This is an asynchronous action that puts the recognizer into a DELETING state, and it is then removed by a background job. Once removed, the recognizer disappears from your account and is no longer available for use.

Changes the cmdlet behavior to return the value passed to the EntityRecognizerArn parameter. The -PassThru parameter is deprecated, use -Select '^EntityRecognizerArn' instead. This parameter will be removed in a future version.

Use the -Select parameter to control the cmdlet output. The cmdlet doesn't have a return value by default. Specifying -Select '*' will result in the cmdlet returning the whole service response (Amazon.Comprehend.Model.DeleteEntityRecognizerResponse). Specifying -Select '^ParameterName' will result in the cmdlet returning the selected cmdlet parameter value.
