Synopsis

Calls the AWS Identity and Access Management DeleteAccountAlias API operation.

Description

Deletes the specified Amazon Web Services account alias. For information about using an Amazon Web Services account alias, see Creating, deleting, and listing an Amazon Web Services account alias in the Amazon Web Services Sign-In User Guide.

-AccountAlias <String>
The name of the account alias to delete.This parameter allows (through its regex pattern) a string of characters consisting of lowercase letters, digits, and dashes. You cannot start or finish with a dash, nor can you have two dashes in a row.

Use the -Select parameter to control the cmdlet output. The cmdlet doesn't have a return value by default. Specifying -Select '^ParameterName' will result in the cmdlet returning the selected cmdlet parameter value.

This example removes the account alias from your AWS account. The user sign in page with the alias at https://mycompanyaws.signin.aws.amazon.com/console no longer works. You must instead use the original URL with your AWS account ID number at https://<accountidnumber>.signin.aws.amazon.com/console.
