Amazon Quick is available in many AWS Regions. AWS hosts its cloud-computing resources in secure facilities around the world, such as in North America, Europe, and Asia. Each facility is part of an AWS Region. To learn more about AWS Regions and Availability Zones (AZs), see Global Infrastructure
The following sections list the IP address ranges for Amazon Quick outbound traffic. Amazon Quick uses these ranges to connect to your databases. These are not the ranges you use to reach the Amazon Quick website or service API. To learn how to authorize Amazon Quick, see Authorizing connections to AWS data sources.

Cross-Region calls for web search
Amazon Quick makes cross-Region calls for web search in the Chat, Agents, and Research features. Requests that start in US West (Oregon) are processed in the US East (N. Virginia) Region. For customers in EMEA Regions, web search queries are processed in the Europe (Ireland) Region.

Cross-Region inference for Australia, Japan, Europe, and the United States
With cross-Region inference, Amazon Quick picks the best AWS Region in your geography to handle your request. This gives you access to more compute resources and models. With it, you get:

Improved performance for all your applications
Cross-Region inference requests stay within the AWS Regions in your geography. For example, a request made in the US stays in AWS Regions in the US. Your data is stored only in your primary Region. But when you use cross-Region inference, your prompts and results might move to another Region. Amazon encrypts all data that it sends across its network.
Note
There is no additional cost for using cross-Region inference.
Amazon CloudWatch and AWS CloudTrail logs do not specify the AWS Region in which data inference occurs.

Amazon Quick follows the Amazon Bedrock Europe geographic cross-Region inference profile. For the Europe geography:

Amazon Quick processes a request that originates in a Europe Region other than Europe (London) (eu-west-2) only in the Europe Regions listed in the preceding table. For example, this applies to requests from Europe (Frankfurt) (eu-central-1) or Europe (Ireland) (eu-west-1).

Amazon Quick never processes those requests in Europe (London) (eu-west-2) or Europe (Zurich) (eu-central-2).

Amazon Quick can process a request that originates in Europe (London) (eu-west-2) in the listed Europe Regions or in Europe (London) itself.
Note
Amazon Quick manages this cross-Region inference routing for you. You can't configure it, and Amazon Bedrock controls such as service control policies (SCPs) and IAM inference-profile permissions aren't available in Amazon Quick.
