Container for the parameters to the AttachUserPolicy operation. Attaches the specified managed policy to the specified user.

You use this API to attach a managed policy to a user. To embed an inline policy in a user, use PutUserPolicy.

Public Property PolicyArn System.String

Gets and sets the property PolicyArn.

The Amazon Resource Name (ARN) of the IAM policy you want to attach.

Public Property UserName System.String

Gets and sets the property UserName.

The name (friendly name, not ARN) of the IAM user to attach the policy to.

This parameter allows (per its regex pattern) a string of characters consisting of upper and lowercase alphanumeric characters with no spaces. You can also include any of the following characters: =,.@-


The following command attaches the AWS managed policy named AdministratorAccess to the IAM user named Alice.

To attach a managed policy to an IAM user
