See also: AWS API Documentation

See 'aws help' for descriptions of global parameters.

[--connector-definition-version-arn <value>]
[--core-definition-version-arn <value>]
[--device-definition-version-arn <value>]
[--function-definition-version-arn <value>]
--group-id <value>
[--logger-definition-version-arn <value>]
[--resource-definition-version-arn <value>]
[--subscription-definition-version-arn <value>]
[--cli-input-json <value>]
[--generate-cli-skeleton <value>]

Options

--amzn-client-token (string) A client token used to correlate requests and responses.

--connector-definition-version-arn (string) The ARN of the connector definition version for this group.

--core-definition-version-arn (string) The ARN of the core definition version for this group.

--device-definition-version-arn (string) The ARN of the device definition version for this group.

--function-definition-version-arn (string) The ARN of the function definition version for this group.

--group-id (string) The ID of the Greengrass group.

--logger-definition-version-arn (string) The ARN of the logger definition version for this group.

--resource-definition-version-arn (string) The ARN of the resource definition version for this group.

--subscription-definition-version-arn (string) The ARN of the subscription definition version for this group.

--cli-input-json (string) Performs service operation based on the JSON string provided. The JSON string follows the format provided by --generate-cli-skeleton. If other arguments are provided on the command line, the CLI values will override the JSON-provided values. It is not possible to pass arbitrary binary values using a JSON-provided value as the string will be taken literally.

--generate-cli-skeleton (string) Prints a JSON skeleton to standard output without sending an API request. If provided with no value or the value input, prints a sample input JSON that can be used as an argument for --cli-input-json. If provided with the value output, it validates the command inputs and returns a sample output JSON for that command.

See 'aws help' for descriptions of global parameters.

Examples

To create a version of a Greengrass group

The following create-group-version example defines a Greengrass group for the Twilio connector. It ties together the definition versions for group, connector, core, resource, Lambda function, and subscriptions, all of which you must define before you can create this group version. - To create the group definition, use the create-group command. - To create the connector definition and its initial version, use the create-connector-definition command. - To create the resource definition and its initial version, use the create-resource-definition command. - To create the function definition and its initial version, use the create-function-definition command. - To create the subscription definition and its initial version, use the create-subscription-definition command. - To retrieve the core definition version ARN, use the get-group-version command, specifying the group ID and the group definition version ID with the latest version that you copied for the group.
