The following table describes the important changes to the documentation since the last release of AWS DevOps Agent.

The section covers how the GitHub App Manifest flow creates a private app that you own, the prerequisites, the registration steps, the permissions for each access level, app management in GitHub, and troubleshooting.
September 21, 2026	European Union inference routing details	Clarified how AWS DevOps Agent routes inference requests for Agent Spaces in European Regions.
September 14, 2026	Creating an event trigger	Added documentation for event triggers, which run a custom agent when a webhook event arrives from a connected integration. An optional JMESPath filter expression controls whether the trigger runs and can optionally transform the payload passed to the agent.
September 11, 2026	Retrieving an investigation or mitigation summary	Added a section describing how to read the summary that a Completed EventBridge event refers to. The section maps each event field to a ListJournalRecords request parameter, gives an AWS CLI command and an AWS Lambda consumer, and states that no operation returns a single journal record by ID. Also corrected both summary_record_id descriptions in the events detail reference, which previously described looking up a journal record by that ID.
September 4, 2026	Registering GitHub with a personal access token	Added a section describing how to register GitHub with a personal access token instead of the GitHub App. The new section covers the Connection type choice, required token scopes, registration steps, limitations of token-based access, and a troubleshooting table. Also documented the Verify with a personal access token option for App registration, which confirms an existing GitHub App installation without a browser redirect.
September 4, 2026	Reflections memory store	Documented the Reflections managed memory store: per-monitor lessons the agent creates from corrective feedback on failed investigations, how a reflection is produced from feedback, and how to view reflections on the Memories tab. Added a cross-reference from Provide feedback on investigations.
September 3, 2026	Manage skills, agents, and triggers with the AWS CDK and Terraform	Added examples to the AWS CDK and Terraform getting-started guides for creating a skill, a custom agent, and a scheduled trigger in an Agent Space. The AWS CDK guide uses the CfnAsset and CfnTrigger constructs from aws-cdk-lib/aws-devopsagent. The Terraform guide uses the awscc_devopsagent_asset and awscc_devopsagent_trigger resources instead. Both guides note the minimum provider versions. They also note that the same asset resource creates every asset type.
September 1, 2026	Connecting Slack	Rewrote the Slack integration guide with a unified 10-step procedure covering registration, channel association, and bidirectional communication. Added a Slack Marketplace link for discovering regional apps, placeholder-based commands for the regional app name, IAM role configuration options, and new screenshots for all steps.
August 31, 2026	Chat with an investigation	Added documentation for sending a message directly to a running investigation from the investigation details page. Covers the Chat with investigation entry point, how messages are attributed to the sender, the 32,768-character limit, the Queued requests list and how the agent picks up messages between its reasoning steps, resuming a completed investigation by messaging it, and which investigation states accept messages.
August 27, 2026	Creating your own memory stores	Added documentation for creating and deleting your own memory stores from the console or through chat. Also documented the learned-skill memory stores—Agent Space Understanding, Understanding Code Dependencies, Understanding Pipeline Topology, and Tool Use Best Practices—and a new How memory is built and refreshed section covering the learning agent and refresh cadences.
August 27, 2026	Configuring memory stores	Added documentation for attaching memory stores to a custom agent so it has read and write access to a chosen set of memories. Covers attaching from the create and edit forms and through chat, and the memory_stores property on the custom_agent asset type.
August 27, 2026	Organizing memories into folders	Added a section describing how a memory's name is its path within a store, how to group memories into folders, and how the agent and the operator app use that structure with progressive disclosure.
August 25, 2026	Trigger filters for automated code reviews	Added documentation for trigger filters, which control when automated release readiness code reviews run for a connected repository or project. Covers configuring filter groups by target branch and trigger event under Advanced settings, the AND/OR matching semantics across conditions and groups, editing filters after setup, and the per-provider steps for GitHub and GitLab.
August 25, 2026	Working with directed actions	Added a page describing directed actions, the operations an operator asks the agent to take against connected services and AWS accounts. The page covers read-only actions and directed actions, the defense-in-depth safety model, and a worked example that executes a mitigation plan from an investigation. It documents enabling directed actions in the console and through the agent space preferences API. It also covers registering an elevated IAM role, the AIDevOpsAgentActionsPolicy managed policy, the agent's own operation guardrails, classifying tools, operator approval, and CloudTrail monitoring. It includes troubleshooting.
August 24, 2026	Managing user and group access	Added a section documenting how you maintain users and groups in your identity provider. Covers Okta and Microsoft Entra ID when an OIDC provider is connected directly to an Agent Space.
August 14, 2026	Investigation summary	Added documentation for the Summary tab in incident response investigations. Covers live investigation updates, the information that can appear in the summary, and when to use the Timeline tab.
August 13, 2026	Importing a custom agent from a repository	Added documentation for importing a custom agent from a GitHub repository. Covers the import flow, syncing, and constraints. GitHub Enterprise Server and GitHub Enterprise Cloud with data residency are supported.
August 13, 2026	Managing webhook credentials	Documented how to retrieve and rotate webhook credentials from the Capabilities tab, for both integration and generic webhooks. Rotation generates a new secret and keeps the same webhook URL. Added a note that infrastructure as code (AWS CloudFormation, the AWS CDK, and Terraform) does not return the webhook secret as an output, so you rotate the webhook to get it.
August 13, 2026	Add a skill, custom agent, and scheduled trigger	Added examples to the AWS CloudFormation and CLI getting-started guides for creating a skill, a custom agent, and a scheduled trigger in an Agent Space, using the AWS::DevOpsAgent::Asset and AWS::DevOpsAgent::Trigger resources and the create-asset, create-trigger, and update-trigger CLI commands.
August 13, 2026	Managing assets with AWS CloudFormation	Added a section for managing assets declaratively as AWS::DevOpsAgent::Asset resources with AWS CloudFormation. Covers the resource-to-API property mapping, create-only and read-only properties, skill and custom agent templates, and which asset operations remain API-only.
August 12, 2026	Connecting MCP servers	Added the "Register without a dedicated role" SigV4 option, a "Cross-account access without a dedicated role" section covering how it works and its requirements, and a troubleshooting entry for the "requires a primary account association" error.
August 11, 2026	Exporting the topology	Added a section for exporting the current topology view from the Topology page using the Download menu. Covers the PNG, JSON, and Mermaid export formats, and how the export reflects the view selected in the Show menu.
August 10, 2026	Required permissions in your primary account	Added a section about the iam:PassRole permission required in the primary account when connecting or updating a secondary AWS account. Includes a least-privilege policy example.
August 7, 2026	Updating capability provider credentials	Added sections for updating registered capability provider credentials in place, including a new Updating credentials section on the New Relic page and a new Updating the authentication token section on the Splunk page. Also updated the GitLab, Grafana, and MCP server pages to describe the Update action, which replaces the previous deregister and re-register guidance.
August 3, 2026	Troubleshooting private connections	Added a troubleshooting page for private connections. Covers DNS resolution mode (public versus in-VPC), diagnosing Create failed when no error detail is returned, capability registration timeouts on an active connection, OAuth token exchange routing, and leftover resource gateways or ENIs after deletion.
July 27, 2026	Inline mitigation proposals	Added documentation for inline mitigation proposals in alarm-triggered investigations. Covers how the agent presents proposals in the investigation view. Also covers what each proposal describes, and how you review and refine a proposal before applying it.
July 27, 2026	Release Manager tools for custom agents	Added a Release Manager tools section to the custom agent documentation. Covers assigning these tools through Chat so your agent can create, list, get, and cancel Release Manager tasks. Also covers analyzing a release readiness review report to surface findings and recommended actions.
July 27, 2026	Starting an investigation from Chat	Added documentation for the proactive investigation prompt in AWS DevOps Agent chat. In chat, you see a prompt to create a formal investigation when a complex issue comes up. Investigations provide a more thorough analysis.
July 23, 2026	Set up a Sandbox	Added documentation for Sandbox (preview), a sandboxed Linux environment in which AWS DevOps Agent can write and run code. During preview, the sandbox is available only during investigations; support for chat, custom agents, and other DevOps Agent capabilities is coming soon. Covers opting in, configuring the outbound networking allowlist, pre-installing pip and npm packages, how the agent reads skills from the sandbox filesystem and can run code bundled with skills, and security considerations.
July 21, 2026	Getting started with AWS DevOps Agent using Terraform	Added documentation for registering third-party services (Dynatrace, ServiceNow, Splunk, New Relic, GitLab, and PagerDuty) with your Agent Space using Terraform, and for using pre-existing IAM roles instead of creating new ones.
June 30, 2026	Connecting GitHub	Added documentation for connecting the same GitHub organization or account to AWS DevOps Agent from multiple AWS accounts and Regions, including how registration reuses an existing GitHub App installation without reinstalling.
June 22, 2026	Managing assets	Added "Import a skill from a repository" section documenting how to import skills from GitHub repositories using the AWS CLI and SDKs, including syncing and viewing import source metadata.
June 19, 2026	Configuring firewall rules for private connections	Added guidance for configuring security group and firewall rules when using private connections. Explains that traffic originates from Resource Gateway ENIs in the customer's subnets, and the static IPs on the Security page do not apply.
June 17, 2026	Managing assets	Added custom_agent, test_profile, and feedback to the asset types you can create through the Asset API, including their metadata schemas and AWS CLI examples.
June 12, 2026	Provide feedback on investigations	Added documentation for providing structured accuracy feedback on completed investigations. Covers feedback methods (web app and chat), feedback fields, updating feedback, viewing accuracy metrics, and reporting to AWS.
June 12, 2026	DevOps Agent Memories	Added documentation for memories, the informational knowledge items that AWS DevOps Agent builds and maintains to supplement agent context. Covers memory stores, the two built-in stores (directives and monitors), limits, and how to view and manage memories from the Knowledge page.
June 12, 2026	Connect to DevOps Agent remote servers	Added documentation for connecting IDE, CLI, and agent integrations to AWS DevOps Agent through dedicated MCP and A2A remote server endpoints, including access token and SigV4 authentication.
June 12, 2026	Connecting Remote A2A Agents	Added documentation for connecting remote agents that implement the Agent-to-Agent (A2A) protocol. AWS DevOps Agent can delegate investigation subtasks to remote agents and incorporate their findings.
June 12, 2026	Custom Agents	Added documentation for custom agents, user-defined AI agents that automate operational tasks. Includes creating, executing, and managing custom agents, and configuring agent outputs such as artifacts and recommendations.
June 12, 2026	Supported Regions	Added support for five additional AWS Regions: Asia Pacific (Mumbai), Asia Pacific (Singapore), Canada (Central), Europe (London), and South America (São Paulo).
