TagContact - Amazon Connect

TagContact

Adds the specified tags to the contact resource. For more information about this API is used, see Set up granular billing for a detailed view of your Amazon Connect usage.

Request Syntax

POST /contact/tags HTTP/1.1 Content-type: application/json { "ContactId": "string", "InstanceId": "string", "Tags": { "string" : "string" } }

URI Request Parameters

The request does not use any URI parameters.

Request Body

The request accepts the following data in JSON format.

ContactId

The identifier of the contact in this instance of Amazon Connect.

Type: String

Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 256.

Required: Yes

InstanceId

The identifier of the Amazon Connect instance. You can find the instance ID in the Amazon Resource Name (ARN) of the instance.

Type: String

Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 100.

Required: Yes

Tags

The tags to be assigned to the contact resource. For example, { "Tags": {"key1":"value1", "key2":"value2"} }.

Note

Authorization is not supported by this tag.

Type: String to string map

Map Entries: Maximum number of 6 items.

Key Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 128.

Key Pattern: ^(?!aws:)[a-zA-Z+-=._:/]+$

Value Length Constraints: Maximum length of 256.

Required: Yes

Response Syntax

HTTP/1.1 200

Response Elements

If the action is successful, the service sends back an HTTP 200 response with an empty HTTP body.

InternalServiceException

Request processing failed because of an error or failure with the service.

HTTP Status Code: 500

InvalidParameterException

One or more of the specified parameters are not valid.

HTTP Status Code: 400

InvalidRequestException

The request is not valid.

HTTP Status Code: 400

ResourceNotFoundException

The specified resource was not found.

HTTP Status Code: 404

ThrottlingException

The throttling limit has been exceeded.

HTTP Status Code: 429
