Synopsis

Calls the AWS Identity and Access Management DeleteOpenIDConnectProvider API operation.

Description

Deletes an OpenID Connect identity provider (IdP) resource object in IAM. Deleting an IAM OIDC provider resource does not update any roles that reference the provider as a principal in their trust policies. Any attempt to assume a role that references a deleted provider fails. This operation is idempotent; it does not fail or return an error if you call the operation for a provider that does not exist.

Changes the cmdlet behavior to return the value passed to the OpenIDConnectProviderArn parameter. The -PassThru parameter is deprecated, use -Select '^OpenIDConnectProviderArn' instead. This parameter will be removed in a future version.

Use the -Select parameter to control the cmdlet output. The cmdlet doesn't have a return value by default. Specifying -Select '^ParameterName' will result in the cmdlet returning the selected cmdlet parameter value.
