Synopsis

Calls the AWS CloudFormation DescribeStackResourceDrifts API operation.

Description

Returns drift information for the resources that have been checked for drift in the specified stack. This includes actual and expected configuration values for resources where CloudFormation detects configuration drift. For a given stack, there will be one StackResourceDrift for each stack resource that has been checked for drift. Resources that haven't yet been checked for drift aren't included. Resources that don't currently support drift detection aren't checked, and so not included. For a list of resources that support drift detection, see Resource type support for imports and drift detection. Use DetectStackResourceDrift to detect drift on individual resources, or DetectStackDrift to detect drift on all supported resources for a given stack.

This cmdlet automatically pages all available results to the pipeline - parameters related to iteration are only needed if you want to manually control the paginated output. To disable autopagination, use -NoAutoIteration.

The maximum number of results to be returned with a single call. If the number of available results exceeds this maximum, the response includes a NextToken value that you can assign to the NextToken request parameter to get the next set of results.

A string that identifies the next page of stack resource drift results.
Note: This parameter is only used if you are manually controlling output pagination of the service API call.
'NextToken' is only returned by the cmdlet when '-Select *' is specified. In order to manually control output pagination, set '-NextToken' to null for the first call then set the 'NextToken' using the same property output from the previous call for subsequent calls.

-NoAutoIteration <SwitchParameter>
By default the cmdlet will auto-iterate and retrieve all results to the pipeline by performing multiple service calls. If set, the cmdlet will retrieve only the next 'page' of results using the value of NextToken as the start point.

Use the -Select parameter to control the cmdlet output. The default value is 'StackResourceDrifts'. Specifying -Select '*' will result in the cmdlet returning the whole service response (Amazon.CloudFormation.Model.DescribeStackResourceDriftsResponse). Specifying the name of a property of type Amazon.CloudFormation.Model.DescribeStackResourceDriftsResponse will result in that property being returned. Specifying -Select '^ParameterName' will result in the cmdlet returning the selected cmdlet parameter value.

-StackResourceDriftStatusFilter <String[]>
The resource drift status values to use as filters for the resource drift results returned.
  • DELETED: The resource differs from its expected template configuration in that the resource has been deleted.
  • MODIFIED: One or more resource properties differ from their expected template values.
  • IN_SYNC: The resource's actual configuration matches its expected template configuration.
  • NOT_CHECKED: CloudFormation doesn't currently return this value.
  • UNKNOWN: CloudFormation could not run drift detection for the resource.
Starting with version 4 of the SDK this property will default to null. If no data for this property is returned from the service the property will also be null. This was changed to improve performance and allow the SDK and caller to distinguish between a property not set or a property being empty to clear out a value. To retain the previous SDK behavior set the AWSConfigs.InitializeCollections static property to true.

Used with SAML-based authentication when ProfileName references a SAML role profile. Contains the network credentials to be supplied during authentication with the configured identity provider's endpoint. This parameter is not required if the user's default network identity can or should be used during authentication.

This cmdlet returns a collection of Amazon.CloudFormation.Model.StackResourceDrift objects. The service call response (type Amazon.CloudFormation.Model.DescribeStackResourceDriftsResponse) can be returned by specifying '-Select *'.
