Modifies an account setting for all IAM users on an account for whom no individual account setting has been specified. Account settings are set on a per-Region basis.

The resource name for which to modify the account setting. If

is specified, the ARN for your Amazon ECS services is affected. IftaskLongArnFormat

is specified, the ARN and resource ID for your Amazon ECS container instances is affected. IfawsvpcTrunking
is specified, the ENI limit for your Amazon ECS container instances is affected. IfcontainerInsights

--cli-input-json

Performs service operation based on the JSON string provided. The JSON string follows the format provided by --generate-cli-skeleton
. If other arguments are provided on the command line, the CLI values will override the JSON-provided values. It is not possible to pass arbitrary binary values using a JSON-provided value as the string will be taken literally.
--generate-cli-skeleton

Prints a JSON skeleton to standard output without sending an API request. If provided with no value or the value input
, prints a sample input JSON that can be used as an argument for --cli-input-json
. If provided with the value output
, it validates the command inputs and returns a sample output JSON for that command.

To modify the default account settings
The following put-account-setting-default
example modifies the default account setting for all IAM users or roles on your account. These changes apply to the entire AWS account unless an IAM user or role explicitly overrides these settings for themselves.

setting -> (structure)
The current setting for a resource.
name -> (string)
The Amazon ECS resource name.value -> (string)
Determines whether the account setting is enabled or disabled for the specified resource.principalArn -> (string)
The ARN of the principal. It can be an IAM user, IAM role, or the root user. If this field is omitted, the authenticated user is assumed.
