Synopsis

Calls the AWS CloudFormation SetTypeConfiguration API operation.

Syntax

Set-CFNTypeConfiguration
-Configuration <String>
-ConfigurationAlias <String>
-Type <ThirdPartyType>
-TypeArn <String>
-TypeName <String>
-Select <String>

Description

Specifies the configuration data for a registered CloudFormation extension, in the given account and region. To view the current configuration data for an extension, refer to the ConfigurationSchema element of DescribeType. For more information, see Configuring extensions at the account level in the CloudFormation User Guide. It's strongly recommended that you use dynamic references to restrict sensitive configuration definitions, such as third-party credentials. For more details on dynamic references, see Using dynamic references to specify template values in the CloudFormation User Guide.

Parameters

-Configuration <String>
The configuration data for the extension, in this account and region. The configuration data must be formatted as JSON, and validate against the schema returned in the ConfigurationSchema response element of API_DescribeType. For more information, see Defining account-level configuration data for an extension in the CloudFormation CLI User Guide.

-Select <String>
Use the -Select parameter to control the cmdlet output. The default value is 'ConfigurationArn'. Specifying -Select '*' will result in the cmdlet returning the whole service response (Amazon.CloudFormation.Model.SetTypeConfigurationResponse). Specifying -Select '^ParameterName' will result in the cmdlet returning the selected cmdlet parameter value.

You can set the configuration for an extension, but not for a specific extension version.

Only specify this parameter if you must direct the call to a specific custom endpoint.
Required?False
Position?Named
Accept pipeline input?True (ByPropertyName)
-NetworkCredential <PSCredential>

If the profile is not found then the cmdlet will search in the ini-format credential file at the default location: (user's home directory)\.aws\credentials.If this parameter is specified then this cmdlet will only search the ini-format credential file at the location given. As the current folder can vary in a shell or during script execution it is advised that you use specify a fully qualified path instead of a relative path.
